LINDBERGH AND WIFE LEAVE FOR DENMARK
AERIAL SURVEY OF NORTH ATLANTIC Press Association. —Copyright. London, Aug. 2G. Colonel Lindbergh and his wife to-day left the Shetlands for Copenhagen. Colonel Lindbergh’s survey of the Northern Atlantic is arousing attention.
It is understood the first reports are favourable to the establishment of a regular summer service between America and Europe via Greenland, Iceland, the Faroes and the Shetlands and thence to the neighbourhood of Copenhagen, with possibly later a winter service via the Azores and Bermuda. Colonel Lindbergh had a great reception at Copenhagen, says a later message. He experienced difficulty in alighting owing to the number of motor-boats in the harbour. The police cleared the way to the town hall, where he received a civic welcome.
