FALSE TEETH FOR LION

A lion has been provided with three false teeth by M. Palmier, a dentist, of Chateauroux. The lion, whose name is Prince, is the pride of the well-known woman lion tamer, Sarah Garyth. He has remained unconquercd and untameable, and" recently, while trying to bite his way to freedom through the bars of his cage, he broke three front teeth. His owner determined to have the brokeD teeth replaced. When appealed to M. Palmier said he would put gold crowns on the damaged teeth and restore Prince to his former savage beauty. It took several men more - than an hour to reduce Prince to impotence with ropes. A gag was fixed to keep his wouth open, and M. Palmier got to work. In two hours he completed his task. In' two minutes Prince, in a new bid for freedom, broke them into pieces. M. Palmier, feeling his professional reputation at stake, is now preparing a new set in stainless steel.
