PURCHASE OF WHEAT
Statement by Board Press Association. —Copyright. Christ church, May 5. Referring to a .statement made at a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce last night that some mills were net allowed to buy wheat in unrestricted quantities, the Wheat Purchase Board has issued a statement that the question raised is at present the subject of negotiation and it would therefore be most improper for the board to make any comment until the negotiations are completed. The parties will meet at Wellington next week.
