ALLEGED FORGERY

Professor ? s Sow Charged COMMITTED FOR TRIAL Press Association —Copyright Wellington, April 12—Richard Roland Gould, a son of Professor Gould, appeared before justices of the peace to-day on a charge of forging a deed of trust purporting to bo between Concessions Ltd. and W. H. Gould and B. E. Wright. . Outlining the case for the police De-tective-Sergeant Revel I said that in July, 1932, Gould prepared a memorandum of association in connection with Coiircssions Ltd. Afterwards he was engaged to prepare a deed of trust. It was left to Gould to obtain suitable trustees. Gould arranged to have a deed printed, and after inspecting the proofs he inserted at the boo tom the names of V/. H. Gould and B. E. Wright as trustees and the name H. S. Gilby, company manager, as witness. Shortly after the deed had appeared in printed form it came under the notice of Professor Gould and Dr. Wright. The evidence would show that neither of these men had signed the deed or given accused permission to enter their names as trustees. They published a disclaimer, but by that lime a man named Wade had purchased a block of bonds for £25. After the hearing of evidence Gould pleaded not guilty and v/as committed for trial. Bail in a bond of £SO and one surety of a similar amount was granted.
