Mr. B. J. Jo yes has returned from a trip to Auckland, Mi'. C. Morey is spending' a holiday at Gisborne, Mr. Ralph Joyos will leave for Hamilton on Monday. Mr. A. Yarndley and Mr. Matthews left today for the Waikato. The lit. Hon. G. W. Forbes, Prime Minister, intends to spend Easter at his home at Cheviot. Mrs R. Dimes left by the mail train this morning on a short visit, to her parents at Wanganui. Messrs. L. Riera and H. Burmester left today for Taupo via Napier on a fishing trip. Mr. and Mrs. E. Ure, of Taurnkawa, left hy this morning's express on a short holiday visit to Wanganui and Welling) on. Rr. R. A. Fernandez, of the head office staff of the Pensions Department, has been appointed registrar of pensions at Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs P. O’Neill, who have been spending a short visit in Stratford, left by the morning mail train on their return to their home at Hamilton. Mr. O’Neill was formerly a member of the Stratford railway staff.
Sir Ernest Clark has been appointed Governor of Tasmania. Sir Ernest was formerly permanent secretary of the Treasury of Northern Ireland and later Assistant Under-Secretary.
