Wellington, Today.—Prisoners were sentenced today by the Chief Justice, Hon. Sir M. Myers, as under: .Jack Harry Pane, breaking, entering and theft, 'l2 charges: Five years' hard labour on each, and on a charge of robbery with violence, seven years' hard labour, the sentences to be concurrent. He was declared an habitual criminal.

Walter Anderson Clifton, two charges of indecent assault: 12 months' reformative detention on each, the sentences to be concurrent.

Henry Ernest Ferguson Lee, forgery and uttering: Two years' hard labour.

Thomas Marren, four charges of uttering counterfeit coins, one charge of making counterfeits, and a charge of making a mould: Two yearn' probation. John Male, committing mischief by window breaking: 12 months' probation.

Harold Alexander Brown, breaking, entering and theft, and attempted breaking and entering with intent and theft: Three years' Borstal detention.

Charles Edward Thomas, two charges of breaking, entering and theft: Two years' reformative detention.

Gordon Kenneth Watson, attempted breaking and entering with intent: Two years' probation. Bernard Joseph Molloy, breaking, entering and theft: Two years' hard labour. Harold Mercer, seven charges of breaking, entering and theft and three of breaking and entering with intent, also committig mischief, two years' hard labour, to be followed by three years' reformative detention. Brian William Hedgland, indecent asault: Two years' hard labour, to be followed by three years' reformative detention.
