Results of play are:— Championship doubles —First round. A G. F. Ross and Mrs Caldow beat Mesdames Jarvie and Brass 21 >~ 2( R Mrs Williamson and Miss Bell beat Mesdames Bock and Lowery 26—17. Women’s championship (first life) —First round: Mrs Gamble beat Mrs Jobson 26—4; Mrs , Keys beat Mrs Acheson 26—17; Mrs Savage beat Mrs Kibblewhite 26—21; Mrs Bocock beat Mrs Simpson 20 —16; Mrs Tiffen beat Mrs Mouat 26—21; Mrs Jarvie beat Mrs Hogan 26—11. Semi-final: Mesdames Tingey and Clark (5) beat Mesdames Gilbert and Nottle (0|) 26—23.
