Mrs. W. J. Poison went to Wanganui by the mail train this morning. Mr W. Hoskin t director of Messrs Manoys, Ltd., has returned to his duties this morning. Mrs K. Ross has returned from a short visit to New Plymouth. Mr Arthur Burgess, who has been absent from Stratford in Vancouver for several years, paid a short visit to his sister, Mrs K, Ross, of Flint Road, prior to leaving for the South. Mrs W. Harris contributed a solo to the musical programme af Monday night’s banquet. Mention was inadvertently omitted in last night’s re. Port. Mr Peter Skoglund was elected a new member of the Stratford Wrestling Association at the meeting hold last night, and Mr E. H. Fazackerley was elected to the executive committee. The following were elected new members of the Stratford A. and P. Association at the meeting held last night. Messrs C. Goble (Piakau), A. H. Gilbert (New Plymouth) and C. H. Whittington B. Kidd and E. H. Harris, all of Stratford. Those present at the monthly meeting of the Stratford Acclimatisation Society last night were Messrs A. E. Hunter (chairman), E. H. Eason. A. E. Eichstaedt, E. Worthington, J. Petrie, C, Atkinson, T. Richardson, E. Kivell, I. Jones (curator) and G. A. Carter (secretary).
