CELTIC BALL SUCCESS

TOWN HALL TRANSFORMED BY EFFECTIVE DECORATION X The 1932 Celtic ball in the Town Hall last night fully upheld the popularity of this annual fixture from all points of view. ; Decorations, music, supper, all left nothing to be desired and the result was a splendid evening’s enjoyment by a larger crowd of dancers than ever. The clubfs colours, green and white, everywhere predominated m (he decorative scheme, a canopy of innumerable paper streamers abr-ve the dancing throng. The orchestra was enthroned on the stage behind a rpeetacular green and white football and, again, in the supper room the decorative arrangements were most effective. The hall itself was a blaze of coirur from a double string of coloured lights peeping from sprays of lycopodium, and many coloured Chinese lanterns further enhanced the effect. Hunches of greenery with crossed i bamboo foliage hid the walls but left spaces at intervals for great rosettes | emb' dying the colours of every footi ball club in Taranaki. Prom bn entertainment (point of view the ball was everywhere voted an outstanding success, everyone passing an evening of rare enjoyment amid surroundings which com polled admiration .
