SIX MONTHS WITH BROKEN NECK

YOUTH’S DEATH IN HOSPITAL AUCKLAND, July 20.—After lying on his back with a broken neck for nearly six months, Clarence Edward Foster, aged 17, Rernuera, died in the Auckland Hospital to-day. Foster fractured the upper portion of his spine through striking the sea bed after diving from a sewer at Wilson’s beach on January 31. The injury caused paralysis and the patient had been obliged to remain on a frame from which he was unable to move.
