ALLEGED ORANGE ATTACKS

With regard to the recent Press message stating that Orangemen had at r tacked the Roman Catholic, districts in Belfast and that Orangemeut had attacked and damaged the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, the Parliamentary committee of the Grand Lodge of Now Zealand, in reply tin a cable for facts, has received the following from Mr. Davison, Grand Lodge sec. rotary for Northern Ireland: “Orangemen had nothing whatever to dp- with the attack on the Liver, pcol Cathedral. The report is absolutely untrue 1o say that Roman Catholic quarters, in Belfast were attacked. A squabble took place in one street, but there were no riots. The judge at the assizes today complimented Belfast upon the peace and quietude of the city.”
