By nine votes to four the Wanganui City Council decided last night to disband the present Airport Committee and vest the control of the Languard Bluff Airport in the council itself. Plitherto, the port has been controlled by a committee consisting of the Mayor and two members of the old council, and one representative from each of the following bodies: The Wanganui and Waitotara Counties, the Harbour Board, the Chamber of Commerce, the Automobile Association and the Aero Club.
