BOYS’ BAND

(To the Editor.) Sir,— Having had the pleasure of hearing the Stratford Hoys’ Baud at the sacred concert held in the Town Hall lasi night, 1 must heartily congratulate the conductor on the splendid performance put. before the audience with his little midgets, They certainly had the help of a few of the older members, but considering twelve months ago the majority ot these boys did not know a note of music it speaks well for the capabilities of the conductor, whom 1 am sure must have more patience than a school teacher in bringing these children up to such a high standard. Now Stratford, let ns stand by the boys and their conductor, wishing them all the success they deserve next Wednesday at the contest at Hawera.—l am, etc.,
