Mr. W. J. Poison, M.P., lias received tlie following loiter from the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. W. B. Taverner, in answer to representations made by him regarding metalling in the XgaMmanu Riding of the Stratford County:—

“In connection with the representations you have made to me recently in support of Hie request of interested .settlors that Government liaancial assistance be provided for tlie purpose of metalline; certain reads in (lie Ngatiniaru Riding of the Stratford County, namely Matau Road, Mangmnaire Road, Junction Road East, Matau Road North and Mangaoapa Road, i have to advise that full information regarding (ho circumstances attaching to the matter is now before me.
