ADVICE FROM LONDON OFFICE The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from Its London office; Butter: Steady; 119 s to 120 s a cwt. Cheese; Steady; white, 56s to 57s a cwt; coloured, 58s to 59s a cwt. Frozen meat: If present demand for wether mutton continues, prices may go higher. Smaller supplies of ewes have caused prices to harden. The market for lamb is more active owing to the increased demand. The market for bef is dull. Trade generally is brighter with better demand. Wethers. —Light, 3d to 4i a lb; heavy, 3d to 3£d a lb. Ewes. —23d to 3|d a lb. Lambs. —2’s, 6d to 6i£d a lb; B’s, 6d to a lb; 4’s, 6d to 63d a lb; seconds, 53d to 55d a lb. Ox hinds, 33d to 3id a lb; ox fores, 2id to 23d a lb. Cow hinds, 3d to 3Jd a lb; cowfores, 23d to a lb. London Wool Sales The market has a hardening tendency. Compared with the opening, greasy crossbreds are a half-penny dearer.
