A MYSTERY

MOFFATT MISSING AIR CIRCLES DON'T KNOW HIM PROPOSED FLIGHT TO NEW ZEALAND Press Association.—Copyright. (Reed. 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, March 10 Moffatt is mystifying London aviation circles. He informed the Australian Press Association that he intended to leave for Belgrade last Saturday, but later he decided to postpone his departure owing to bad weather, and now his whereabouts are unknown. He left his hotel on Saturday saying that he proposed to start at daylight on Sunday, but failed to return, and his baggage is still there. The Air Ministry an£ the Croydon Aerodrome ollicials say they do not know Moffatt. The company from which he said he had purchased a new high-pow-ered machine is equally in the dark. Moffatt said he had also been in the Australian, New Zealand and Royal Air Forces. He mapped out an ambitious programme for reaching Wundham in nine days, Sydney in 11, and Invercargill in 12.
