In the House of Commons Mr. Mander introduced the National Industrial Council Bill, providing new machinery for conciliation and cooperation in industry. The national industrial councils have already been established in Belgium, Canada, Czecho-Slovakia, Prance, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain and the United States. The Bill seeks to establish an industrial parliament consisting bf three hundred members 40 representing the House of Commons*, 20 the House of Lords, 100 each representing the employers and trade unions, and 40 from the official council. This body will be the normal channel between organised industry and the Ministry ing Wyndham in nine days, Sydney industrial bills, threats 1 hi strikes and lockouts. The Bill was read a first time.
