DEATH IN CHURCH. NELSON, March 8. Mr John McCallum, of Fairhall, Blenheim, farmer, died suddenly while attending a Plymouth Brethren service this morning. BODY IN RIVER. FATE OF BUSHMAN. FOXTON, March 8. The body of a man found in the Manawatu River on Friday has been identified as that of Alfred Towns, bushnian, of Palmerstou North, single, aged 54. At an inquest the evidence tendered showed that Towns arrived in Foxton at midnight on February 28 drunk, and apparently fell into the river. A verdict that he was drowned in tho Manai watu River on March 1 was returned.
