GREAT EXHIBITION. ASSURED.
Systematic organisation and good! team work on, tne part of the Preaideut (Mr A. J. ifavey) and tlio committee of the Stratford Winter Show lias resulted: in a tablet of entries that compares favourably '"with last year’s show, but wlucli ni, the face o(i' unusual) jcjicumstances iW ing at present must be regarded an very satisfactory indeed. The poultry entries (-529) are practically equal to the previous year’s figures, but pigeons show a decline owing to the Hastings show being held on, dates very close to Stratford. A section which lias fallen away in, most of the recent shows is Garden and field section, but here the efficacy of or. ganisation stand's out in bold relief, tlie figures fins year being no less than (jib compared to 391 last year. Home Industries are much tiie same, being 352 and 350 respectively, fancy work, art, ami photography entries are down, but the biggest blrop is in the Schools Section, there being loss than half tbs number exhibited last year. The Scouts 7 Section (20) is again well supported. The total number of entries is 2207, compared to 2399 last year, tlui£ ensuring a. splendid exhibition, which wifi prove ai credit to Central Taranaki.
