N.S.W. COAL DISPUTE

OPENING OF MINES. A/CTION BY GOVERNMENT. SYDNEY, Dec. 10. The Premier, Mr .T. E. Bavin, announced after a Cabinet meeting to-day that preparations are almost complete for the opening of the Rothbury colliery on the terms which the miners' leaders advised the men to accept. Steps also are being taken to secure the opening of the other mines. Delegates of all the miners' lodges meet at Newcastle to-morrow to formulate a policy for continuance of the strike in accordance with the resolution of the aggregate meetings.
