tafmarunui meeting, FIELD REVIEWED. (By “PAPERMONBY.”) Splendid acceptances have been received for the first day of the Taumarunui Racing Club’s meeting ■Which takes place at Taumarunui to-morrow (Friday), i The course is in good order and everything points to 3> successful meeting. Nassau Lady, Biddy’s Comet and Antique look a likely trio to r un prominently in the Trial Plate, six furlongs. Tuku, Abbey Queen and Abbess may carry most support in the Taringa Motu Hack Handicap, six furlongs. , ' i J The leading event of the meeting, the Taumarunui Cup Handicap, has drawn a useful field of nine. Wenday, Glena Bay and Glaqstar may be th e public’s fancies on the machine. 1 Pellette, White Ringlet and Pure Tea may share favouritism in the Matapuna Hack Handicap, five furlongs. \ i Archeen has accepted for two races, but if started in the Maqunui Hack Hurdles, may be the favourite. Master Roley and Spalpiko will also have plenty of friends. If Antique* Bahama and Tuku are reserved for the Matiere Hack Handicap, seven furlongs, they should run prominently. ” j Macroom, Marble King, and Billikiiqs are nicely weighted in the Ran•galroa Plying sijx 'fur-, longs, and may have most admirers. The Owhango Hack Hanndicap, 1 mi>fe, has drawn a field, of eleven. Cybele, Unoco and Glena Bay (if started) should run well.
