ANOTHER LECKIE WINS GLEN LESLIE BEATEN

ASHBURTON, Oct. 4

Tho professional bout for the New Zealand, lightweight and Truth Belt between Hoc Leckie (Dunedin) and Glen Leslie (Auckland) was Staged at the Majestic Theatre to-night. The decision went to Lcekie with a knock out in the sixth round. Leckie entered tho ring at 9.3* and Leslie at 9.5. 1 . Tho bout opened out with Leslie showing particularly good promise with a destructive left. He showed great gameness and distinct science but his strength was below his sturdy opponent ivho made a ■wonderful recovery in tho third round after being down foi eight, but was stopped by Leckie’s com tinned aggressiveness. Leckie proved himself a fighter of the first order. Both should go far in the ring world. In tho sixth round Leslie went down for nine and then took tho count.
