Tragedy visited No. 5 Coleridge Street, Sydenham, in the early hours of Sunday morning, when the father and mother of the family resident .there died within) ten iminutes of each other. By a queer coincidence neither know of the shadow of death hovering over the other. The father was John Quintan, aged 7." yeairs, and the. other was Bridget Quinlan, aged 72 years. Mrs. Quinlan had been sufFering from bronchitis for two years, and her illness bacame serious on Friday night, when a doctor was called. Mr. Quinlan was taken ill on Tuesday last and his condition towards tho end of the week was so serious ! that it was not deemed advisable to tell him of his wife's illness.
