The deatli occurred this morning of Mrs. Edmond Curtin, of Kdliuraahi at the age of 68 years. The funeral will leave the Stratford Catholic Church at 2 p.m. to-morrow for Kopuatama Cemetery.

Members of the Taranaki Rugby •management committee last night extended congratulations to Mr. A. F. Nielson on his appointment to a position in Australia. In acknowledgment, Mr. Nielson said he very much regretted having to sever his connection n r ith the Union and with the Rugby game in Taranaki. Ho would like to bo kept in touch with the game in Taranaki, and if his work permitted lie hoped to work for the game on the other side. Mr. Nielson has been appointed to exploit a new process for the manufacture of butter which is the property of a New Zealand company.
