A AND P ASSOCIATION
GENERAL COMMITTEE. A meeting of the general committee-1 of. the Stratford A. and P. Association was held this afternoon, Mr A. David, president, being in the chair. The secretary reported as follows —The executive committee held their first meeting on June llth, when subcommittees for the. year were elected. The respective schedule revision committees have been requested to meet as soon as possible and furnish any recommendations and alterations considered ecessary in time to be considered at the July meeting of the executive and general committee members are asked to bring forward any suggestions for the betterment of the Association and th*» Show. These can also he considered when, recommendations made by the hrst meeting of chairmen of sections are under review On June llth the Finance Committee met to discuss opening up again the campaign to raise* funds for the new cattle pavilion.' On the motion of Mr J. W. Boon, it was decided that a" sub-eoinmittfce be set up to report on improvements required this year. Mr J. M. Shotter uaid for the horses about thirty staills could be provided, the rest of the accommodation being in the way of boxes. Messrs A. David and J. W. Boon were appointed the sub-committee. Members suggested that the following matters he considered; Conveniences, sheep pens, loading bank Mr A. J. Davey suggested that the horse boxes might he <moved bodily ba.ck and provided with a concrete floor. This would oive plenty of room if it was decided to increase the space inside the oval. Mr D. O'Sullivau said the oval must lio increased in size to niako room for members' cars. He knew of two people who intended to resign from tbe Association, owing to not being able to get their ears in round the oval at last show. Mr 0. Moore thought the Farm Committee might report on improvements in laying out the ground. Mr Crowe had suggested that live hedges should he planted round the oval. Mr O'Sullivau said +ho whole thing I needed revision. The chow had ' grown to such an extent that She ground was now feeling the strain. "Mr J. O. Robins thought there should he aai inquiry on the question of traffic. On Mr. O'Sullivau's motion a subcommittee consisting of Messrs A. David, J. W. Boon, J. 0.. Robins and C.
