KING SIGNS DECREE AFTER DISCUSSION.
Received 9.55 a.m. LONDON, February 21. The dissolution of the Spanish Artillery Corps for the second time within three years, made a profound impression through-* out Spain. The Times’ Madrid correspondent isays it remains to he seen whether the dissolution can he accomplished without incident. Tire Daily Mail’s Madrid correspondent states it was only after prolonged discussions that the King agreed to sign the decree abolishing the corps, whose officers have been in conflict with de .Rivera ever since he seized power in 1923. The strength of the Spanish army is 200,000, there are 158 regiments of which 37 are artillery. De' Rivera rose to power through the infantry, which throughout remained loyal. —United Service.
