ICY SPELL WILL CONTINUE
LESS SEVERE IN; BRITAIN. DIMINUTION OF SOLAR ACTIVITY’. (Re ceived Noon). PARES, February 15. M. Moreuu says the icy spell will continue till the cud of hebruaiy, but will be less severe in Britain. Ho explains that it is due to a diminution of solar activity which began several months ago. He also prophesises a renewal of the earthquakes hi 1929 and 1930, with much volcanic activity in 1930 and 1931.
