TRAIN DYNAMITED.

MEXICO CITY, February 10. President Emilo Gil escaped unin-

jured in an attempt 1 on his lite, when the train ou winch he was travelling was dynamited this morning. One fireman was killed. The dynamiting of the train occurred shortly before the funeral of Jose Deleon Toral at n'oon on Saturday following his execution for the murder of Signor Obregon, tine President-elect. It was near San Miguel de Allende. in Guanaguato State.

The attack occurred while the train was crossing a bridge. One

fireman, Augustin Martinez, was caught between two cars and killed instantly. President CHl's private car remained on the track, A worse wreck was prevented by the engineer, Ramos Espinosa, who applied the brakes immediately. PROMINENT PASSENGERS. Among the prominent passengers was the Secretary for War, General Joquin Mamaro. A military escort immediately pursued the attackers with orders to

execute any guilty persons captured.

One hundred thousand people lined the streets at Toral's funeral. There were several clashs with a heavy police guard, in which \3O were injured and one killed. Twenty a,rre!sts jWerei made. Thje i}o}<;iec\ and soldiers halted the rioters with

fixed bayonets, but the crowds shouted "'Viva Toral!" for the artist who was executed, calling himself a martyr. At one point, the disorders reached a peak, but firemen turned a hose on the crowd, blocking

the street. A mountain of flowers was left at Toral's home. The crowd sang hymns, shouted, and wept at the grave.
