BAPTIST LEADERS ARRESTED BY SOVIET

WIDESPREAD MOVEMENT. , LONDON, February 10. The Riga correspondent 1 of the Times states that the Cheka, the Soviet police force, has arrested 20 Baptist leaders jn White Russia on a charge of influencing the peasants against the Soviet in the election. The village Soviets disclosed a widespread anti-Soviet movement. Many villages rejected the official list of candidates and attempted to elect tiheir own candidates. Others elected anti-Bolshevists. These will be suppressed.
