INVITATION TO SIR JOSEPH WARD

AUCKLAND, February 5

There was a discussion at the executive meeting o£ the Waikato Winter Show Association to-day on the question of who will open this year's show. ' ■* The president (Mr A. K. Alexander) pointed out that the Right Hon. j G Coates performed the ceremony last year, and it had been the practice to alternate between the Prime Minister and the Governor-General Mr J. B. Tidd wanted to know if the Association would be accused of political colour if it ignored Sir Joseph Ward, in view of the change of Government. Mr p H .
