STRATFORD A AND P SHOW
EVENING EVENTS. Everything is now in readiness for the Stratford A. and P. Show to be held on Wednesday and Thursday next. The. following are the events billed to take place at the evening show, commencing at 7.30 p.m. each evening:— llodeoi buck-jumping competitions, (open to ill comers), donkey buckjumping competitions, for boys under 1Q years of age, donkey buckjumping 'for boys betyeen 12 and 18 years of age,, and exhibitions of horseback' jumping and wire rope walking. DAY SHOW. For the day show, U competitors have entered ifor the steer riding competitions. The steers were inspected yesterday and are reputed to be a very lively lot. A large number of side shows have already arrived) and are being set up. Space has been reserved,' for agricultural., industrial and motor car exhibits, and it is reported that the number of reservations is the largest yet. ELECTRIC LIGHTS. Special lighting arrangements are being made on the/ grounds by the Taranaki Power Board. STOCK EXHIBITS. The. first of the stock exhibits arrived from tire Manawatu and south Taranaki on Friday while further exhibits arrived to-day fr*Jm Hunterville. %.. WORKING BEE. A working bee consisting of members of the A. and P. Association have been busily engaged during Friday last and to-day, putting the. final finishing touches on the grinds and buildings, and a large number of improvements have been made.
