PEMBROKE ROAD. A very enjoyable and Well attended dance was held at the Pembroke Road Hall las.t night. The dance musicwas supplied by Boulton's orchestra. Extras being given by Messrs 'Waite and] Newbold, Mr P. Wicks.tead being- MX', The opportunity was taken to say farewell to Mr ajnd Mrs T. Ncwbold, who are leaving the district. Mr Aldridge, on behalf of the Hall Committee, in presenting Mr and Mrs Newbold with a pipe and case and silver entree dish}, expressed regret that they were leaving, as they had always been only too willing to help at social functions, etc. In thanking Mr Aldridge and the residents oi Pembroke Road for their gifts, Mr Newbold assured them that the gifts would be a constant reminder of their happy associations, and that he would treasure their expression of esteem.
