Messrs Newton King Ltd. report a s follows on their Stratford s al e yesterday: In the dairy pens there was a good yarding off cattle and a very large attendance of • buyers, including some from Hawera, Kaponga 'and New Plymouth.

There was a special entry of 75 headl on behalf of Mr F. Reardcm, of Eltham and these elicited keen bidding. Prices ranged from £ll 10s to\ £l7 10s, and the 74 head sold made the splendid average of £l4 per head. Cattle on behalf of other vendors sold' well. Calvec'j cows £9 10s. to £l2 10s, cows close to calving £p/ to £ll, heifers close up £lO 10s to £l4.
