HOSPITAL EXPENDITURE
BOROUGH COUNCIL OBJECTS. INQUIRY ASKED FOR. Press Association—Copyright. PALMERSTON N., This Day. Following upon the notification from the Palmerston North hospital of increased levies for the coming year and also the estimates of capital expenditure including a hew two storey block of buildings, the Borough Council last evening passed a resolution requesting the Government to appoint an independent commisJsion to inquire into' the whole matter of this expenditure, the Council considering it unnecessary. As a preliminary step, it was decided to arrange for -a deputation to meet Hon. J. A. Young when he visits Palmerston North On Monday next and place the Council’s views before him.
