PLUNKET SOCIETY

COMMITTEE MEETING. A committee meeting was held in Oie Tlunket rooms on Wednesday. Mrs. L. Curtis presided and the following members were present: Mesdames Smith, Cuthbert, Masters, Allen , Mark, Fredric, Po>ver, Kay. Apologies were received from Mesdames' Jliera, Furrie, Hall, Burmeser and Rear. I'ho minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed and correspondence was dealt with. A vote of sympathy was passed toi Mrs. Sole. A letter was received from the Hawera branch, asking .an opinion regarding payment of delegates’ expenses. It was agreed that this branch is in favour of doing so. It was resolved that the sal© of , flowers be discontinued until the be- | ginning of the year. 'Proceeds froml the sale of flowers for the previous month realised £4 13s Id. The nurse’s report for ’ August Avas:— Number of cases in books, 583 visits to homes, 62. Visits to rooms Babies 153; mothers 15G; children 9; visitors 13.
