KING COUNTRY CLUB’S ANNUAL GATHERING. The King Country Collie Club’s eighth annual trials were brought to a successful conclusion on Tuesday, tiie detailed results' being as follows : CLASS IT.—Short head, drive Maltese Cross, yard. (Maximum 52 points). S. Voyce’s (Piopio) Trim 47 H. Voyce’s (Piopio) Joe 36 O. Sole’s (Mahoenui) Double 35 C. Jackson’s (Piopio) Rags 33 CLASS lll.—Huntaway, short head, hold in ring and huntway. (Maximum. 49 points). S. Briksen’s (Awakino) Rock ... 42 W. N. Neal’s (Piopio) Sandy 35 C. Taylor’s (Piopio) Chock 27 R. Hill’s (Piopio) Mick 26 CLASS TV.—Huntaway between throe sets of flags, zig-zag course. (Maximum 45 points). E. Larsen’s (Piopio) Laddie 24 11. Hill’s (Piopio) Mick 19
S. Erik.sen’s (Awakino) Toss 16 S. Pratt’s (Kopaki) Darkle won the challenge cup in Class 1. and E. Larsen’s (Piopio) Laddie in Class TV., whilst a handsome silver coffee service presented by Mr A. Duncan, of Bexby, to the owners of two dogs competing in classes If. and ITT, was won by 11. Hill’s (Piopio) Don and Mick, with 54 points. The trophies for the maiden dogs’ Class I. resulted: G. Ross’ (Awakino) Nellie 33, F. Wardell’s (Tongapomtu) Flip 30, R. Parr’s (Mahoenui) Laddie 27.
