At the agricultural show championships were awarded as follows:—Town horses, hunter: A. M. Samuel’s El Arish 2. Lady hunter; Miss C. Sutherland’s Vedona. Hack: Hon. MrsRlyth’s Mercury. Harness horse: J. Gee’s Jimmy. Dominion hunter competition; A. M. Samuel’s El Arish. Exhibition races for prizes of £IOO resulted:—Trotting: Lord Roberts scr. 1, Style 24vds behind 2, Golden Gate scr. 3. Also started: Ambcrite scr.. Loch Lomond scr.. Gold Sovereign 12yds., Mint iloy 18yds, Sebisca 96yds, Aerial Pin gen 156yds. Won by one and a half lengths, a length between second and third. Time, smin. 3scc. Pacing: Man o’ War 156yds 1, Goldman 48yds 2, Pitaroa 48yds 3. Also started: Him Pore scr., Ursulinc scr., Golden Moss scr., Harold Junior 36yds behind, Wood vale 48yds, Blue Mountain King 132yds. Won by a head, a neck between second and third, 'lime, 4min. 31 sec.
