SCHOOL FIRES
TIMA IHJ MARI ST DESTROYED.
Timaru, July 18
A fire at 2.3f> this morning completely gutted the Marist Brothers’ School. The flames had a good hold when the outbreak was discovered, and' the brigade's efforts 1 could not prevent the' destruction of the place, only four brick walls now standing. The building was a very old one and had been used as a school for many years. It was insured. The origin of the outbreak is unknown. This is the second school firs here this month.
