Alexander Wilson, a stock buyer, aged 47, married, committed suicide (In a private hospital by hanging himself with a chain fixed above bis bed. He had been in bad health for some time, and was nervous and despoudent. LITTLE GIRL SHOT. Gisborne, A]pril 2. While playing with a, young boy at her home at Motuhora, a three-year-old girl named Patricia Grantham was shot by the lad with a pea rifle. The boy did not know it was loaded and be printed it at the girl and pulled the trigger, the r oullet penetrating the chest. The girl was brought to town by the evening train and admitted to hospital. ; s ■ -t CHILD SEVERELY INJURED. Invercargill, April 2. . Robeiit -Ross McGregor, aged 5j years, fell under a moving tram, arid his foot was partially severed. Ho was removed to hospital in a serious condition. DROWNING ACCIDENT. Auckland; April l. f( - •<’ ’ William' Ernest 'Brunswick Brown, aged 32, was drowned yesterday at Castor Bay through the capsizing of a dinghy. His six-year-old son and deceased’s brother were rescued. Deceased was a draper’s assistant at Te Kuitl. He leaves a wife and two children.

YOUTH'S TRAGIC HEATH. Christchurch, April 1. Roland Shaw, aged 19. who. got separated from a shooting party on the Cashmere Hills on Friday, met his death in a tragic manner. His body was recovered yesterday afternoon at the foot of a cliff hy one of the search parties scouring the hills. The body was badly knocked about, and apparently Shgw fell down a cliff 150 feet high, overlooking Governor’s Bay.
