The New South Wales Athletic Association has decided to communicate with' the New Zealand Association, with a view to negotiations for a visit by the American athletes when the latter visit the Dominion in the New Year.

A meeting of the Board of Control decided to accept Marylobone’s proposal for a visit of the English t6am to Australia! in' 1924-5, and an Australian team to England in 1926, blit regretted that the previous decision that the tours should be undertaken a year earlier was not carried out. The board also decided to approach the New Zealand Association, with a view to an Australian team visiting New Zealand In January, 1924, for an eight weeks’ tour. Advices from Broken Hill state that there is a merger movement among the Barrier mining companies for purely Australian interests, to take over the'w k hole of the assets and liabilities of the British Company af 35/- per share.
