A naval officer boarded the Baltic , and conveyed Sir Nevill Macßeady’s prohibition r ,against ‘ Mannix landing in Ireland' aud Field Marshal Sir Henry Wilson’s prohibition against his visiting Liverpool, Manchester, and Glasgow; otherwise, Mannix was free to go anywhere in Britain. Maqnix twice refused to listen to the officer’s persuasion, and protested against being ordered to quit the ship. Tire officer then placed his hand on Mannix’s shoulder, and Mannix regarding this as a legal arrest boarded th© destroyer.
