Persistent reports are current of the exodus of emigrants frqm the frontier provinces ta Afghanistan, causing the latter much worry. Certain villages in the vicinity of Peshawar have emigrated en bloc, and Afghan reports state that they are feeding large numbers of travellers, which is proving li serious matter. There is good reason to believe that the authorities in Kabul are growing anxious, and are attempting to stop the movement, which jg large, ly due to tho preaching of priests in India.
