Sasanoff ran a mile and a quarter in 2.11, Taimaha and Good Day assisting at various stages. Margarine with a mate ran the last 9 of a mile and a-half in 2.43 4-5. Wrestler but out live furlongs in L. 3. Mazama ami Dusky Eve. a mile and a-quarter in 2.1 4-5. Menelaus heat Mascot comfortably over a mile and a-lialf in 2.4 2-5. Heathcote beat Happy Captain over nine furlongs in 2.0. Gloaming did strong work on the tan Croesus heat Demos over six furlongs in 1.17 4-5. Nystad beat Birkenvale in 1.10, Torfreda ran four in 49. Sedd el' Bahr easily beat Cynic over a mile in 1:45. Parisian Diamond easilv, beat Mill o' Gowrie over six furlongs in 1.18 1-5. Ascalphus ran six in 1.18. Killard beat Winter Cherry oevr a mile in 1-45 .1-5. Onslaught beat Long Range over seven in 1.30. Crenides, Affectation, Rose Wreath, Murihiku, Lady Bail, Royal Stag, Ameythas, and Warplaue all shaped well, but .timing was impossible.
