The ladies’ hockey match, Hawera v. Kaponga, took place at Hawera on, Wednesday, the local team winning by! Bto 1. Misses Petersen (3), Gumming (3), and Stone i2) scored for Hawera ; Miss White scored for Kaponga.

The Stratford team journeyed to ®l- - yesterday to meet the local team but no game eventuated as the, latter did not put in an appearance.
