ACCLAIMING THE SULTAN.
NEW ZEALANDERS ADMIRED IN THE BRILLIANT THRONG.

An enormous throng acclaimed the Sultan on entering Abdin Palace. Five thousand officials and notables neie present. The New Zealand troops were especially admired. FUTURE HOPES OF ITALY. (Received 9.45 a.ta.) Rome, December 20. Addressing the Senate, Signor Salandra said lie hoped in 1915 to see such a peace by which Italy would have acquired more glory .and greatness.
