Canada

AN IMPERIAL PARLIAMENT.

[United Press Association.] Ottawa, December 8

Mr Borden said he hoped to see the day when Canada, .Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa would have the same voice in the foreign relations of the Empire as Britain. Anyone who doubted that this was coming was doubting whether the Empire will hang together. “The day is coming when Canada will ‘"’equal Britain in population, and it will then be impossible that Canada’s foreign relations shall he settled by the Ministers in the Motherland, however competent and distinguished. The present war will solve other Empire problems.”
