COUNTY ELECTIONS.

STRATFORD. The County elections took place yesterday, but so far the figures for only one Riding are available. Of. J. Christoffel is re-elected for the South Riding, polling 106 votes, and Mr T. E. Coleman replaces Mr J. Thomson, who retired, polling 90 votes. The other candidates polled as follows: Mr X. Jones 72, Mr H. D. Forsyth 40. WHANGAMOMONA. The only contest was in the Central Riding, returning two members, in which the candidates were the sitting members (Messrs W. Bacon and W. A. ' McCutchan) and Mr M. Geever. The figures are not available, but the result of the election was that Messrs McCutchan and Geever were elected. ELTHAM. * \ J South Riding (one member). —J. T. Quin 88, A. L. Campbell 86.
