* LONDON WOOL SALES, [By Electric Telegraph- -Copyright] [United Press Association.] London, November 3. At the wool sales 8393 bales were offered, whereof 1090 were New Zealand. The attendance was unusually largo, but bidding was confined to the Homo trade owing to the embargo on importations. There was keen competition and spirited bidding for crossbreds at famine prices, which were generally 10 per cent, above those at the October sales. The merinos were an inferior selection, many being second-hand Australian lots on Continental account, and chiefly short carbonising sorts. These were very difficult to sell at 10 per cent, below the October prices, while superior shafty combings advanced 5 per cent. T. LAMASON’S WEEKL.Y REPORT. Last Saturday we held our usual weekly sale, which was successful. Poultry is now in very good demand, especially good table sorts. We quote a$ follows: Hens Is 9d to 2s 6d, roosters 2s 6d to 3s 6d, cockerels Is 6d, ducks 3s 2d to 3s 6d, ben and chick 9d to Is 3d, cauliflower 3s to 6s per dozen, carrot 3s 6d per sack, rhubard 6d per bundle, potatoes 5s to 9s por sack, pollard 14s to 16s 6d.
