AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.
An interesting set of pictures was shown at His Majesty's Theatre last night, the star feature, "Votes for Women" being well received. There are many amusing situations in this picture, the comedy part being well sustained. Another good drama showing a great moral was "The Pitfall," by the K.B. Company. The cast is exceptionally strong, and the acting perfectly natural. It shows how easily an innocent country girl was blinded by the lure of a large city and how she nearly fell a victim, but her country lover coming on the scene at the last moment enables her to see the way she ,was going. "The Australian Gazette" was as usual, full of topical interest, one item being the prize distribution to the Australian Xaval Cadets, and a fine picture of one of the Australian fleet. "Picturesque Sydney" and "Snapshots of Niagara" were two very interesting scenics that are well worth seeing. This fine programme concludes with a Lubin laugh, "The Missing Diamond." New music has been brought from Auckland for the orchestra by Mr S3*d. Bernard. Torinorrow and Thursday the great drama, "Hearts Adrift*' will be shown.
