Dr. Buck, Opposition candidate for the Bay of Islands, opened his campaign at Hikurangi on Saturday night. The candidate condemned the Government administration for non-fulfilment of promises. He made special reference to the Huntly disaster, and said the Reform party had failed to introduce mining legislation to prevent accidents.
